Food and Cooking

FamilyFun offered dozens of recipes in every issue, with an emphasis on wholesome meals made from scratch and healthy snacks with kid-appeal. Our test kitchen refined each dish to guarantee success for busy families. As a top editor, I helped shape the magazine's food direction and was occasionally charged with special projects, such as Everyday Fun Foods, a spin-off publication presenting a sampling of our favorite recipes. I continue to develop recipes, with an emphasis on canned goods, pickles, and dishes that use in-season ingredients from my gardens and orchard.
